De Middelnederlandse fragmenten van de Flovent. Diplomatische editie

Abstract - This article deals with the fragments of the Middle Dutch romance about Flovent, the eldest son of the Merovingian king Clovis. A study of the historical background, the contents of the French version, the gap between the two fragments and the description, dating and localisation of the manuscript is followed by a diplomatic edition of the text. The edition is based upon photographs made with the aid of ultra- violet light. An additional list presents the variants of two former editions, published by Bartsch (1864) and Kalff (1886).
