Vollenhoves ‘Aan de Nederduitsche schryvers' uitgebreid

Abstract - This article pays attention to the material genesis of Poëzy (1686), a collection of poems by Joannes Vollenhove, and subsequently to a manuscript found in the authors personal copy of Poëzy, which has recently been bought by the ‘Maatschappij der Nederlandse Letterkunde te Leiden' (Leiden University Library, sign. 1499 A 30). This manuscript contains two additions to Vollenhove's ‘Aan de Nederduitsche schryvers', a didactic poem that was highly appreciated by and had a great influence on the contemporary and the eighteenth century Dutch grammarians. In this article the text of the additions is discussed and presented.
