Abstract - In the romance of Jonathas ende Rosafiere the third of May seems to be of some significance, as the date appears twice in the text. In this reaction to an article by Resoort it is argued that in one instance the modifier den derden dach van meye was added by a scribe, who took it from a former verse just to fill a gap. In the other case den derden is the result of misreading. This leads to the conclusion that the date does not have a deeper meaning
