De drie deugden des toneelstijls in Vondels ‘Berecht' bij Jeptha.

Abstract -- In the preface to Vondel's Jeptha (1659) three ‘deughden des tooneelstijls' (virtues of tragic style) are mentioned: perspicuity, probability and conciseness. It is shown that the source for this statement is Daniel Heinsius' De tragoediae constitutione liber (1611), who treats these elements as virtues of the narratio.
