Eelckje van Bouricius: een zeventiende-eeuwse dichteres in de marge van de literaire wereld
Abstract -- Poetess Eelckje van Bouricius (1619/1620-1682) was one of the women that moved in the cultural circle surrounding the Frisian viceregal court around 1640. In her case, writing appears to have been a mere useful pastime that contributed to her general and religious development. She had little ambition as far as her poetry was concerned, therefore she had no need to build a literary network. She wanted to show in court circles that she was able to go along with prevailing manners. Van Bouricius had only one foot in the literary circuit, on the margin of the poetic world; thanks to others she was involved in that cultural circle.
