Abstract -- This contribution discusses some textual difficulties in the Middle Dutch Vergi. In his interpretation of these the author calls the reader's attention to medieval badges found in the Netherlands and showing the main scene from the Vergi-story. Furthermore he points to the intertextual relationship between the Vergi, the Tristan-romance and a poem of the French troubadour Chastelain de Couci.
