Over leefregels en leermeesters in Middelnederlandse teksten
Abstract -- This article discusses the strong educational tendencies in late medieval Dutch literature from the perspective of the authors. Their attitude towards writing was shaped by the urge to combine literature and learning. Authors adopted the role of preachers and teachers, sometimes aiming to offer an alternative to the clergy, thus creating a new branch in vernacular literature.
