De Syntactische atlas van de Nederlandse dialecten
Abstract -- In this paper, the author critically assesses the first volume of the Syntactische Atlas van de Nederlandse Dialecten (sand). First and foremost, the editors are praised for this new and unique source of information on syntactic variation. On the other hand, there is some (mild) criticism as well. Certain decisions in selecting or not selecting phenomena to be investigated are questioned, methodological objections against the ways phenomena were investigated are raised, and certain theoretical biasses in analyses and explanations are exposed. The final judgement, however, is positive.
